Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford is an American guitar player and singer born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls from the 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and raunchy lyrics made them noticed by the rock community. The band did not enjoy much of a following within The United States. However, their popularity grew overseas and especially in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. Her debut solo album was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her album Out for Blood.
