Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam having Chinese origins, and Winston Barrett Munn's family is roots deep in the American South. The couple split when she was just the age of two. Her mother raised her as well as her stepfather who is a United States Air Force officer. During this time, she appeared in several local theatre productions, and then became a model within the Japanese fashion industry. She loves surfing and has been practicing since she saw the TV program Beyond the Break (2006). She has also earned a black belt for taekwondo. When she was two, her mother got married. The second time, she got married to a US Air Force serviceman.
