Silk was actually born Silk was born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter who was an academic and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, writer, teacher, and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna can recall the first moments she experienced of her childhood, like seeing her mother work during play rehearsals. Silk was a small girl in numerous commercials. She earned a Bachelors in Arts from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas produced at least two early productions, Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in the decade after 1999. Seth Cooperman is her future husband, who she first was introduced to at a workshop in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop in 2007. They were engaged in 2009 and were wed in a civil ceremony in December of that year. They renewed their vows April 10th, 2011, in Fredericton, after the bride changed her religion to Judaism.
